This mini-miniature sized, cool to warm growing epiphytic species is from Myanmar and Thailand at elevations around 1000 meters with ovoid-spherical pseudobulbs that are close set, and carries a single apical, very fleshy, oblong-elliptic, abruptly acuminate leaf and flowers on a 4 cm long, basal, solitary flowered inflorescence with a tubular bract that holds the triangular, unpleasant smelling flower close to the pseudobulb and occurs in the spring and summer. Mount this species on cork and give warm to cool temperatures, moderate light, and ample year round water except during cool spells when water should be withheld.
