Bulbophyllum aureum 'Yellow' grows in India in the Nilgiri Hills as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte that has a straggly rhizome with 3 cm between each ovoid, rather crinkled pseudobulb carrying a single, elliptical, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a 4 cm long, 2 flowered inflorescence with the yellow flowers held above the leaf
This species requires cool to warm temperatures, deep shade, and regular water and fertilizer to grow well.
