Bulbophyllum roxburghii 'Green'

Bulbophyllum roxburghii 'Green' is found in Assam India, Sikkim and the eastern Himalayas in tropical valleys at elevations around 300 meters as a medium sized, hot growing epiphytic species with 1.5 to 3 cm between each subglobose pseudobulb enveloped basally by fibrous sheaths and carrying a single, apical, coriaceous, linear-oblong, obtuse, obliquely emarginate, sessile to shortly petiolate base leaf and blooms in the spring through summer on an erect, basal, to 20 cm long, slender, bracteate, 5 to 12 flowered inflorescence that exceeds the height of the leaves and has an apical umbel of flowers.

Best grown in baskets or pots and given hot temperatures and partial shade, good air movement, and moderate water and fertilizer.
